| 25 March | Hand valuation for opening bids, game strategy, rebids with a trump fit; leads and declarer play in trump contracts. |
| Lesson 2 | The Opener Part 2 – Suit Rebids and Notrumps |
| 1 April | Opening bids and rebids with single suited and two-suited hands; opening bids and rebids with balanced hands; leads and declarer play in notrump contracts. |
| Lesson 3 | The Responder Part 1 – Weak and Strong Raises |
| 8 April | Weak, limit and pre-emptive raises; delayed raises, slam bidding and the Jacoby Raise Convention; when to delay drawing trumps. |
| Lesson 4 | The Responder Part 2 – New Suit and Notrump Responses |
| 15 April | New suit responses at the one and two level; the one notrump response; card combinations – promoting, unblocking and finessing. |
